The Detroit Pistons travelled to Brooklyn to take on the Nets and ended up winning 114-80. This was also the largest loss the Brooklyn Nets have ever suffered at the Barclay’s Centre.

The Detroit Pistons ended the first quarter with an 8 point lead mostly thanks to Tobias Harris who poured in 14 points and looked unstoppable. Once the second quarter was underway that’s when the Detroit Pistons really put their foot to the floor and extended their lead. Through the second quarter they went on a 26-5 run until Allan Crabbe ended that run with a mid range jumper just after half way through the quarter. The Pistons never relinquished the lead from the start of that second quarter and ended that quarter 29-15. The Pistons carried along that form and won both the third and fourth quarters, with the starters not featuring in the fourth quarter at all.

The game was won because the Detroit Pistons won the rebounding contest 54 to 35 and outscored the Brooklyn Nets 58 to 26 with points in the paint. Detroit only allowed 2 offensive rebounds all game, which both came late in the 4th quarter.

Congratulations to Tobias Harris who has hit 100 three pointers on the season and has now gotten to that mark with the fewest games played in a Detroit Pistons uniform ever!

Player Grades:

Both Henry Ellenson and Langston Galloway played 4 minutes but both barely registered a stat, so I have not included their grades.

The Detroit Pistons next game will be at Chicago against the Bulls on Saturday night, where they will look to piece together some wins.
