The Detroit Pistons have landed its superstar player in the form of Blake Griffin. This trade left a lot for us to analyze. While the play on the court with determine the success of this trade, he’s the things I liked and didn’t like.
Remember when the Detroit Pistons coveted a star player, but kept falling short of actually landing that star?
Well, that discussion is a thing of the past with the addition of Blake Griffin, even if the Pistons likely need another player of that caliber to actually compete in the era of super teams.
Still, there is a lot to like about what the Pistons were able to do on Monday night, and some things not to like.
While we can’t answer whether this was a move that puts the Pistons on the path for a title, or a move that puts the Pistons on a fast track to mediocrity over the next four seasons, as that will be determine by the Pistons play and subsequent moves, we can evaluate the good and the bad things about this move on the surface of the trade.
