Detroit Pistons forward Anthony Tolliver was selected as the new Secretary-Treasurer of the NBPA. Tolliver still remains as the Pistons’ representative.

On Friday afternoon, the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) announced the selection of two new committee members in Detroit Pistons’ forward Anthony Tolliver and Portland Trailblazers guard C.J. McCollum.

Anthony Tolliver was selected as NBPA’s newest Secretary-Treasurer, while McCollum was selected as the newest Vice President of the NBPA.

McCollum joins the long list of Vice Presidents that serve under incumbent President of the NBPA, Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets.

The complete list of Vice Presidents include Lebron James as the First Vice President, Golden State Warriors’ forward Andre Iguodala, Oklahoma City foward Carmelo Anthony, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Sacramento Kings wing Garrett Temple, San Antonio forward/center Pau Gasol, and Detroit Pistons forward Anthony Tolliver.

Although he’s transitioned into a new role in addition to his old duties, Tolliver still will continue to serve as the Detroit Pistons’ player representative, with forward Jon Leuer as the alternate.

Anthony Tolliver has had a bounce-back season with the Detroit Pistons this season – shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc and providing much needed relief at the forward position after Jon Leuer was ruled out for the season.

Since the trade for Blake Griffin, Tolliver has flourished as the second big man on the court. He’s averaging 44 percent from three, while scoring 11.7 points per game.

Anthony Tolliver has proven himself to be one of the league’s premier spot-up shooting threats.

He ranks in the 92nd percentile for spot up shooting, scoring 1.253 points per possession.

The Pistons are coming off of a win against the Atlanta Hawks and face the second-place Boston Celtics at Little Caesars Arena upon the conclusion of the All-Star Game festivities and subsequent break on February 23rd.
