Jerry Stackhouse played in a Pistons uniform and could possibly be the next head coach in the motor city. Brandon Robinson recently interviewed Stackhouse.

Jerry Stackhouse has been tied to the Detroit Pistons head coaching vacancy of late. He’s a very familiar face to the organization.

Stackhouse played five seasons in Detroit. In the 2000-2001 season, he averaged 29 points per game in a Piston uniform. Stackhouse was an all-star twice in those five seasons in Detroit.

He went on to play much longer after leaving Detroit. In full, Stackhouse played in the NBA for 18 seasons. He scored over 15,000 points in his professional career.

Stackhouse more recently has moved on from playing and is now succeeding as a head coach. He’s been the Raptors 905 NBA G League head coach for the last two seasons.

He led his team to a championship in 2017 and was named coach of the year.

Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson recently did an interview with Stackhouse on his podcast. Stackhouse reflected on some of past coaches and what he can bring to players in today’s league.

Could Jerry Stackhouse be the next man in charge?

Stackhouse would be an intriguing selection for a head coach. There’s a lot that is still unknown even though he’s had success.

Coaching a G League team is much different than an NBA team I’d assume. However, the Pistons still haven’t found a head coach. Time is beginning to be a factor as many candidates are now off the board.

It’s not like Stackhouse would be coming to a team that has no hope right off the bat. The Pistons have a playoff-caliber roster. It might be a good fit.

Whatever the case may be, you just can’t ignore what Stackhouse can bring to the table.
