The Detroit Pistons released their 2018 Summer League roster on Monday afternoon. Included are some familiar faces, such as Henry Ellenson and Luke Kennard. Detroit will open up play against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

The Detroit Pistons have released their Summer League roster for 2018. And for the first time ever, they’ll be participating in the annual Las Vegas showcase with all 30 teams.

Headlining this year’s group are power forward Henry Ellenson and shooting guard Luke Kennard. Ellenson is playing in his third Summer League, while Kennard will compete in his second.

Recent draft picks Khyri Thomas and Bruce Brown (both primarily shooting guards) will get their first taste of NBA-level action as well.

Also of note is shooting guard Reggie Hearn, who played three games with the Pistons last season. He signed a two-way contract with the team back in January.

In total, 16 players will represent Detroit in Sin City. For many, it’ll be a chance to prove themselves in front of a worldwide audience.

The Pistons don’t hit the floor until Friday night. They’ll face the Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m. local time on NBA TV. Detroit will then battle the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, July 7 and the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, July 9.

Each team will play three games before competing in a single-elimination tournament. Detroit has lost the last two Summer League Championship Games, both of which were played in Orlando.

NBA TV and ESPN will carry all 82 games. Tip-off begins Monday, July 2.
