The Detroit Pistons have won their last three games in the 2018 summer league. They are now set to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the quarterfinals.

The Detroit Pistons are playing great and have a lot of momentum going into their next game against the Los Angeles Lakers. They’ll need another great game from their big contributors if they look to take down the top-seeded team.

In their last game, they defeated the Chicago Bulls 72-66 to advance. Henry Ellenson led the way with 21 points in the game. Bruce Brown also had 10 points and eight rebounds.

One thing to keep track of leading up to today’s game is the status of Khyri Thomas. He sat out of yesterday’s game because of some tightness in his hamstring.

Looking at the Lakers summer league squad

The Lakers summer league team has been a force to be reckoned with. They’ve won all of their games to this point. Three out of their four wins have been by double digits.

They’ve been led by the hot shooting of second-year player Josh Hart. The Villanova product has averaged 22 points per game in the summer league. He’s shooting 46 percent from the field and 42 percent from three-point range.

The Pistons will also see former Michigan standout Moritz Wagner. He was drafted 25th overall in this year’s draft. He’s been another big contributor to the Lakers success in the summer league.

He’s averaging 10 points and eight rebounds per game.

Detroit will have to deal with the sharp-shooting Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk who Los Angeles selected with the 47th overall pick in the draft. He’s averaging 14 points per game on 47 percent shooting and 38 percent shooting from three-point range.

In their last game, they blew past the Clippers 82-69 to get to the quarterfinals. Hart led the way with 20 points for the Lakers.

The Pistons will take on the top seed today in hopes of reaching the semifinal in the summer league. It will be their toughest task to this point.
