Detroit Pistons: Andre Drummond defends teammate on Twitter
By Travis Gibbs
Andre Drummond turned to Twitter to defend one of his teammates. Will this re-kindle an old flame between two teams with a lot of history?
Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond has proven to speak his mind from time to time on social media. In January, he was vocal about initially not getting a spot on the Eastern Conference All Star team.
This summer, he’s back at it again. A Boston Celtics fan on twitter made a comment about Drummond’s teammate, Stanley Johnson.
Drummond didn’t take exception to it. No matter how anyone feels about the situation, Drummond did the right thing as a teammate. He continued to interact with the Boston faithful after defending his teammate.
This is following the Drew League where Johnson and Drummond both made appearances and even teamed up at one point.
Johnson has had his critics over the last three years with the Detroit Pistons. The former lottery pick hasn’t been able to put it all together yet in his career. It’s nice to see Drummond stand by his side and have a new head coach that thinks highly of him.

Players don’t forget things. This little feud on Twitter could re-kindle an old flame between the Celtics and the Detroit Pistons. Both teams are looking at the top of the Eastern Conference and know they can be there.
The Celtics will be bringing back a healthy Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. The Pistons will be bringing back a healthy roster as well. It will be something to keep an eye on in the upcoming season.
