1. Check out Ryan Van Dusen’s YouTube channel

I stumbled across Ryan Van Dusen’s (Swove2204) YouTube channel a few years back. And boy, am I glad I did.

It’s a gold mine of Pistons’ history, one that spans all six decades of the franchise. There’s bound to be something in there that you haven’t seen before.

I mean, where else can you find original, broadcast footage of Chauncey Billups’ first triple-double with the Pistons? Or this 2001 commercial featuring Ben Wallace, and then-Trail Blazer Rasheed Wallace? Or Joe Dumars and George Blaha discussing the Pistons’ return to red, white, and blue?

There are thousands of archival videos that you likely won’t see anywhere else. I don’t know who Van Dusen is, or how he has access to memorable and seemingly random moments in Pistons’ history. But his collection is still growing.

The clarity on these videos aren’t perfect. But they’re not unbearable either.

Considering how obscure some of the material is, it’s remarkable that record of it even exists in the first place. This is particularly true for the commercials, some of which were only broadcast in Metro Detroit.

There’s enough content to keep somebody occupied for more than a month. With clips being added daily, this channel should be a regular visit for Pistons fans.

(Bonus: Here’s a video of Darko Milicic air-balling his last field-goal attempt as a Piston)
