Drummond has been the center piece on this Detroit Pistons team for the past three seasons. Former head coach Stan Van Gundy wanted to build around Drummond and mirror his success formula with the Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard.

It hasn’t exactly turned out like that. Van Gundy is gone and so are some of the foundation pieces he brought in to be around Drummond.

However, Drummond has improved in each season in some statistical category. Many forget he’s still just 24 years old.

His biggest criticism was his free throw shooting. His percentage from the line went from below 40 to above 60 percent last season. Drummond also improved his passing ability and had a career high in assists.

He led the league with 16 rebounds per game as well. Let’s not forget his ability to protect the rim as well. All summer, he’s been working on his three-point shot as well.

Next year could be the best season yet for Drummond.
