1. Reggie Jackson

There’s no way around it. Over the last two seasons, the Pistons missed the postseason and Jackson was always the missing piece to the puzzle.

Last season, they 27-18 with Jackson on the floor. Without him, they were just 12-25. Injuries have been Jackson’s issue as well.

He missed a large chunk of games last season because of a severe ankle sprain that held him out longer than expected.

Jackson was one of the big reasons why the Pistons were in the postseason in 2016. He averaged 18 points and six assists per game while averaging nearly 36 percent from three-point range.

If the front court continues to improve their shooting, Jackson’s ability to slice a defense and penetrate will become even more valuable.

He’s not the best player on this team skill-wise but he’s by far the most valuable. If the Detroit Pistons want to do anything significant this season, they will need a big year out of Jackson.
