Power ranking the 2018-19 Detroit Pistons: Who tops the list?

#12 Zaza Pachulia

I’m not going to spend as much time with the next two guys on this list.

They are both two journeymen, that were brought in as inexpensive options off the bench. There shouldn’t be any surprises from these guys, given their age and experience. I think we know exactly who they are as players. Coincidentally, they were both playing in the Finals last year.

The first is, of course, Zaza Pachulia.

The 34-year-old center is perhaps most famous for the injury he gave to Kawhi Leonard. That injury set in motion a series of events that ended this summer, with Kawhi being traded to conference rival Toronto.

Anyway, Pachulia isn’t going to blow anyone away with his play. He’ll set hard screens, he can do a little bit off the pick-and-roll, and he’ll likely have a dirty play here and there. If Jon Leuer can’t stay healthy, expect him to get almost all of the minutes at backup center.
