The No. 1 expectation for Glenn Robinson III

Shoot the three!

I qualify this with an exclamation point because I think he, along with Reggie Bullock and Luke Kennard, will have the green light to fire away from deep.

That is a great, three-wing rotation to provide space for the big men who are range-limited (although Blake Griffin is okay from beyond the arc). But who else is going to provide consistent spacing on this team?

Langston Galloway is the only other guy on the Detroit Pistons (outside of the three I just mentioned) who has a career shooting average of over 35 percent from beyond the arc.

Take him out of the equation, and Jon Leuer has the next highest at 33.5 percent. (For the record I am not counting Jose Calderon, even though he shoots a stellar 41.1 percent from downtown, as I don’t expect him to play much).

Robinson has consistently shot the ball well from deep as a pro, and this is arguably the main reason as to why he was brought onto the team. Since arriving in Indiana after his rookie season. he’s managed to shoot 37.8 percent or better from the 3-point line every year.

I think that no matter what, Robinson will be able to keep up this consistency.
