Detroit Pistons 2018-19 season preview: Odds Edition
Playoffs
Odds to make the playoffs = -180 via ESPN.
Last year, the Pistons were jockeying among the bottom half of the Eastern Conference featuring teams such as the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, and Washington Wizards.
Barring a Jimmy Butler trade, none of these teams project to be leaps and bounds better than the previous season’s iterations, but what I do know is that LeBron James left the East, and the steaming carcass that is the Cleveland Cavaliers, behind him. This effectively moves this subset of teams up one notch each.
Conveniently, this leaves the Pistons with the No. 8 seed. I’m assuming the 2018-19 Cavaliers will be worse than the Pistons. Return of Minnesota Kevin Love or not they’re still employing a starting lineup of Jordan Clarkston, Rodney Hood, JR Smith, Tristan Thompson, and Love. Which should make for a sneaky good team in NBA 2K.
