The Detroit Pistons have been struggling on offense. Reggie Bullock, there best shooter from last season, has been struggling as well. Here are the numbers.

The Detroit Pistons beat the Orlando Magic last night 103-96 to end their five-game losing streak. Their next game is on Friday in Atlanta against the Hawks.

The Pistons have been struggling offensively through their first ten games of the season. That is one of the biggest reasons they’re only 5-5 to this point.

Right now, Detroit ranks just 29th in field goal percentage and dead last in three-point field goal percentage. Everyone outside of Blake Griffin is not shooting well.

The biggest surprise out of everyone struggling to shoot the ball is Reggie Bullock. He was easily the team’s best shooter last season.

Bullock shot 44 percent from three-point range which was second in the league.

This season it’s been a much different story through ten games. Bullock is shooting 29 percent from the field and just 23 percent from three-point range.

I believe a big part of Bullock’s struggles have been due to missing time on the court. He missed opening night of the season due to illness. Bullock then missed two games after an ankle sprain on Halloween night in Brooklyn.

The Pistons were in Boston the night before they played the Nets. In a losing effort, Bullock really looked like he was starting to figure something out.

He scored 16 points in 32 minutes of action, shooting 45 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range in the game.

That was by far his best game of the season. Bullock didn’t really get it going until the second half. However, he was shooting the ball with open looks throughout the entire game.

Last night against the Magic, Bullock scored just one point in 18 minutes of action and was 0-6 from the field. I wonder if the ankle injury is still bothering him.

Those types of injuries can linger around for some time. Reggie Jackson is a perfect example of that. Let’s hope that it doesn’t last much longer for Bullock.

Will Bullock ever be himself this season? Maybe he won’t be as efficient as he was last season, but it wasn’t a fluke.

Shooting 44 percent from outside is not a fluke through 82 games.

He needs to continue to taking shots with confidence and working to get to his spots on the floor to shoot the ball.

That is what made him such an effective shooter last season. Shots will start falling and Reggie Bullock can help this struggling Detroit Pistons offense.
