The Detroit Pistons host the Charlotte Hornets for the first time this season at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The Pistons are looking to extend their current winning streak to three games, and put themselves a game clear above the .500 mark.

The Detroit Pistons blew out the Atlanta Hawks most recently and are currently sitting sixth in the Eastern conference with 6 wins and 5 losses.

The Hornets are coming into the game off an overtime loss to the Philadelphia 76ers and currently have a record of 6-6.

What to look for today

The Charlotte Hornets are led by Kemba Walker. Their star point guard is currently averaging 28.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

The Detroit Pistons will have their work cut out for them trying to contain this electric scorer. Containing him will put them in a good chance to win this game.

Once Kemba and the other starters sit, the Pistons will still have to be wary. The Charlotte Hornets bench is currently second in the league in scoring at 50 points per game.

The Pistons will look to establish themselves inside with both Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond and look for the inside-outside game. Griffin and Drummond both have a size and strength advantage over Cody Zeller and Marvin Williams.

The Hornets currently sit 8th in the league for points per game as a team (116.8).

The Detroit Pistons sit at 14th in the league (110.7). The Hornets also sit in the top half of the league (12th) on the defensive side of the ball allowing 109.7 points per game, while Detroit allow 111.1 points per game putting them 18th in the league.
