This is an opportunity for the fans to tell us what they think about the current state of the Detroit Pistons. On a scale of 1-10, where is your confidence level with this team?

The Detroit Pistons are 7-6 after 13 games of the 2018-2019 season. Now that they have a short period of time off, I think it’s important to see where fans are with their confidence in this team.

It’s been an up-and-down season to this point. The Pistons started the season 4-0 and got a 50-point performance out of star forward Blake Griffin.

They followed that up with losing their next five games and dropping below the .500 mark. The Pistons have now won three out of their last four and sit in sixth place in the eastern conference.

The team has shown some apparent flaws to this point. One of them is their inability to knock down shots from the three-point line. They’re dead last in three-point percentage.

The Pistons are also 29th in field goal percentage. Outside of Griffin and Andre Drummond, they are struggling to generate points.

There are signs of optimism with the Detroit Pistons. They’re seventh in the NBA in defensive rating. They’re also top ten in turnovers per game.

Those two things have helped them stay afloat to this point.  Once the shots start falling, this team could be pretty good.

Signs point to that happening eventually. Dwane Casey’s teams in Toronto were top ten in points per game multiple times in his tenure there.

There are players that have shot well in the past on this team that just aren’t shooting well right now. Reggie Bullock and Glenn Robinson III are examples of that.

Detroit’s last game had to be their most encouraging performance. They battled back from a double-digit deficit and beat Casey’s former team. The Raptors have the best record in the eastern conference right now as well.

It’s really too early to make a full analysis on this team. However, I want this to be an opportunity for the fans to tell us what they think of this team.
