Tonight, the Detroit Pistons host the Cleveland Cavaliers at Little Caesar’s Arena in downtown Detroit. Here’s everything you need to know before tip-off.

After five days off, the Detroit Pistons are well rested and are finally back in action tonight. The Cleveland Cavaliers come to town looking to find an identity this season.

These two teams met earlier this season.

The Pistons hung on for what was their fourth straight win to start the 2018-2019 season. Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin combined for 52 points and 32 rebounds in that game.

There were some things the team didn’t do well that let the Cavaliers hang around. Turnovers were one of the factors. The Pistons turned the ball over 20 times and shot under 60 percent from the free throw line in the game.

The Cavaliers have witnessed change in their organization since the two teams last met in late October. The Cavaliers fired head coach Tyronn Lue just two games after losing to Detroit. Larry Drew is the new man in charge in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers are just 2-12 this season. For them, it’s all about trying to establish an identity. Everyone knew this team would struggle with the departure of LeBron James.

However, if you’re Cleveland, staying competitive in some of your games is the goal.

Injury Report

Both teams are going to be without key players in tonight’s game. The Pistons are going to be without guard Luke Kennard until the end of the month.

The last time these two teams met, Kennard injured his shoulder after running into a screen from Channing Frye.

The Cavaliers have been decimated with injuries. They have four different players currently fighting through injuries.

Kyle Korver is expected to play tonight despite having a sore right foot. George Hill (shoulder) is looking at a return by Thanksgiving.

Kevin Love isn’t going to be back until December after having toe surgery and Sam Dekker is going to be out with a sprained left ankle.
