The Detroit Pistons traveled to Milwaukee to play in Fiserv Forum for the first time, and they got bucked up 115-92. The Detroit Pistons now have a day break to figure out where to go from here after being on the receiving end of their second blowout loss in a row!

The Detroit Pistons scored the first basket of the game, and never had the lead again. The Milwaukee Bucks best offense in the NBA did not disappoint as they blew the Detroit Pistons out of the game.

The Detroit Pistons offense just couldn’t keep up as they shot 36.5 percent from the field, and a meager 23.7 percent from the three-point line, their 20 turnovers didn’t help their cause either, with a lot of them coming off basic errors or unforced.

The game was over by the start of the fourth quarter, with both teams sending out bench and reserve units, the Pistons giving extended time (almost the whole fourth quarter) to Jose Calderon, Khyri Thomas, Bruce Brown, Jon Leuer, and Zaza Pachulia.

The Good:

  • Blake Griffin – Blake was the only Detroit Piston to actually contribute meaningfully and god knows what that final score would’ve looked like without him. He finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, in only 30 minutes. He tried hard defensively and did pretty well containing Giannis Antetokounmpo.
  • Defense on Giannis – Antetokounmpo finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in 26 minutes. He was contained fairly well despite a highlight dunk finished over Blake.

The Bad:

  • Every Detroit Piston except Blake Griffin
  • Ish Smith – Ish did not return in the second half of the game after heading to the locker room with a right hamstring complaint. This is of particular concern as he’s been leading the bench unit extremely well. This likely means A LOT more Calderon. YAY

For the Detroit Pistons next chance at redemption, their next game will be at Little Caesar’s Arena on Friday at 7pm against the Philadelphia 76ers.
