Could this be any more fitting? The Detroit Pistons desperately need a win and the Philadelphia 76ers stand in their way. This should be interesting.

The Detroit Pistons have now lost four straight games and head to Philadelphia to play the 76ers on the second night of a back-to-back schedule.

This is a team they saw just recently. The Pistons were not able to beat Philadelphia without star big man Joel Embiid at Little Caesar’s Arena last Friday.

Despite a 31-point effort from Blake Griffin, the Pistons fell 117-108 to Philadelphia. The Sixers were lead by Jimmy Butler who scored a game-high 38 points.

Ben Simmons had a strong performance as well. He finished with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists for Philadelphia.

More. Blake Griffin continues to be only consistency for Detroit Pistons. light

The Pistons blew a 15-point lead in the second half of that game. Dwane Casey and Griffin both picked up technical fouls on their way to a self-destruction.

Tensions were flying high toward the end of that game.

The Pistons are coming into tonight’s game off a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Griffin had another big game.

He scored 35 points and Andre Drummond had 23 points and pulled down 19 rebounds.

Both teams could be without key players for Monday night’s game.

Injury Report

The Pistons have been without three key players in their lineup. Two of them could end up being back for Monday night’s game.

Reggie Bullock (ankle) and Stanley Johnson (knee) have been listed as day-to-day with their injuries. Ish Smith (groin) will be out for at least three weeks before coming back to the lineup.

As mentioned earlier, Embiid didn’t play for the Sixers in Friday night’s game. There’s a chance the Pistons don’t see him tonight, either.

He’s listed as questionable with a migraine right now. Philadelphia could be without Landry Shamet (back) as well. Markelle Fultz is still out indefinitely (shoulder).
