The Detroit Pistons are in a very tough spot. They’re playing the Charlotte Hornets on the road and have a depleted roster right now.

The Detroit Pistons are struggling right now during their toughest stretch of the season. They’re also missing a lot of role players due to injuries.

Tonight, the road for the Pistons doesn’t get any easier. They play the Charlotte Hornets on the road. Looking at the eastern conference. standings, the Pistons are the sixth seed. The Hornets are just a half game behind them in seventh place.

The Pistons are coming into tonight’s game following a 116-102 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Even though they lost this game, it’s the most life this team has displayed throughout their five-game losing streak.

Luke Kennard had a career night against the Sixers in a starting role. He scored 28 points and shot 61 percent from the field.

Andre Drummond had his best game matched up against Sixers’ big man, Joel Embiid.

Unlikely players had a big impact in this team hanging around for over three quarters in the game.

The Charlotte Hornets come into tonight’s game off a 119-107 victory over the New York Knicks. Kemba Walker led the way with 25 points, six assists and six rebounds.

The Detroit Pistons are currently looking at being without four different players tonight in Charlotte.

The biggest of those being back-up point guard Ish Smith (groin) because of the impact he makes on a nightly basis when healthy.

Reggie Bullock and Henry Ellenson are both unlikely to play tonight because of ankle injuries. Glenn Robinson III is currently having the same problem as well.

Stanley Johnson (knee) is probable for tonight’s game.

The Hornets sit with a completely healthy roster as of right now. That’s not a good sign for the Detroit Pistons.
