Coming off of a loss to Charlotte on Friday night the Detroit Pistons will be looking to rebound against one of the worst teams in the East, the Atlanta Hawks.

The Detroit Pistons won their first match-up of the season against the Atlanta Hawks on November 9th, 124 – 109. Leading the way for the Pistons was Andre Drummond and Stanley Johnson with 23 and 22 points respectively.

Rookie Trae Young and guard Jeremy Lin led the Hawks with 16 and 19 points respectively.

The Hawks are on a two game win streak, winning against New York and Washington. Even though the Hawks do not have a super-star player they have quite a few role players who all play very well.

The Pistons are coming off a loss to the Charlotte Hornets. The wing play in the loss was no existent.

Luke Kennard and Langston Galloway did not score in the game. Reggie Bullock was the best wing player scoring just 11 points.

Blake Griffin who leads the team in scoring this season led the Pistons with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

Drummond scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the game.

Another struggle for the Pistons besides their wing play was that their bench did not show up to play.  Their bench played over 80 minutes in total and only scored 23 points of the Pistons 86 on the night.

Jon Leuer had 5 points in 6 minutes of action. Dwayne Casey needs to utilize the big-man off the bench if he wants to give Griffin and Drummond time to rest.

Another key to victory for the Pistons is to lock-down Young and Lin. Do not allow them to take shots from beyond the arc.

The Hawks will be without Miles Plumlee and Taurean Prince while John Collins, Alex Poythress and Omari Spellman are questionable.

The Pistons will be without Ish Smith, Henry Ellenson and Glenn Robinson III.
