Detroit Pistons snap three game losing streak vs Memphis Grizzlies

Detroit Pistons take one on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies. They snap a three game losing streak, winning 99 – 92.

Once again, the Detroit Pistons were led by star Blake Griffin. Griffin scored 26 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 7 assists in 39 minutes of play.

Andre Drummond posted another double-double scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He played 38 minutes which helped the shorthanded Pistons tonight.

Reggie Jackson scored 16 points, pulled down 7 rebounds and chalked up 5 assists.

Reggie Bullock and Luke Kennard both scored 13 points for the Pistons. Both played the wing positions for Detroit tonight as Stanley Johnson was on a minute restriction.

Johnson logged 6 minutes of play in the game. He scored 3 points and grabbed just one rebound.

The Pistons shot 40 percent from three, but struggled at the line only making 59.1 percent. The three point shooting was led by Bullock, Jackson, Kennard, and Langston Galloway.

On the other hand, the Detroit Pistons kept a healthy Mike Conley to 0 points and only 1 assist. He shot 0 – 8 from the field in 28 minutes of action. Conley has not gone scoreless since December 15, 2015 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Grizzlies’ best player tonight was Jaren Jackson Jr their 4th overall pick in last year’s draft out of Michigan State University. Jackson had a double-double scoring 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Detroit Pistons come home now to face the Utah Jazz on Saturday at 7pm local time.

They have a few days off after back to back games with losing to Milwaukee last night and winning against Memphis tonight. Detroit needs to rest and recover as they host the struggling Jazz team which is led by 2018 Rookie of the Year runner up Donovan Mitchell.
