Andre Drummond hasn’t just been busy on the court for the Detroit Pistons but he also has been off the court. Drummond recently filmed and directed a short series for Uninterrupted of which the first part is called, “Growing up in the NBA with Andre Drummond”.

Uninterrupted does not state how many parts will be in this series but I’m sure there will be many. The focus on this part is to look into Drummond’s perspective inside the NBA and life outside being the Detroit Pistons’ All-Star big man.

Many of us know Drummond is a talented music artist and athlete but we don’t know is it’s been hard for him to get attached to friends, teammates and coaches. In this part he is seen going to Top Golf with teammates Reggie Jackson and Stanley Johnson to whom he is closest to.

Drummond starts off the episode by saying this, “For me I had this thing where I never wanted to get too attached to anybody, cause I felt like I would always lose them. Everybody I liked was either fired, traded or their contract was up and went somewhere else. It was tough for me to have a relationship with my teammates or coaching staff. I grew up without a father, so that was tough for me as well too to get attached to anybody because he left. So, moving forward it was a reoccurring theme, even throughout basketball.”

Jason, better known as Tailz or Drummond’s housemate, is shown playing NBA 2K19 with Drummond at their house in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Tailz helps Drummond with video work and other creative tasks.

After playing some NBA 2K19, Drummond and Tailz are filmed going to Dave and Busters restaurant of which they play arcade games, enjoy food, take pictures with fans and sign autographs as well.

The video ends with Drummond in the recording studio with Tailz as they work on their next song.
