Blake Griffin and the Detroit Pistons welcome his former team, the LA Clippers, to Little Caesers Arena for an early 5:00 pm tip off!

We got an early tip off for all of you today!

The Detroit Pistons welcome Blake Griffin‘s former team to Little Caesers Arena for a 5:00 pm game.

Last time these two teams squared off, it was in Griffin’s return to Los Angeles. The Pistons got the win 109-104 and Griffin did not disappoint.

Griffin ended that game with 44 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and one scuffle with former teammate Patrick Beverly. At the end of the game, it looked like Griffin was going to show out for a dunk as time expired.

That was before Beverly chased after him and let him know about it.

The two exchanged some unkind words with each other and had to be separated at mid court.

The Pistons will welcome back fan favorites Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic.

Harris is having a career year, averaging a career high in point per game (21.1), rebounds per game (7.9), assists per game (2.7), free throw percentage (87.8 percent), three point percentage (43.0 percent), field goal percentage (50.1 percent), and true shooting percentage (61.2 percent).

Harris’ play this year has led the Clippers to the eighth seed and only 1.5 games behind sixth seed, in the Western Conference.

Unfortunately, Harris was snubbed from the All Star game this year. Add Rudy Gobert to that list, and these snubs have people questioning the East vs West format in player pooling.

The Detroit Pistons need this win badly. They’re two games behind the eighth seeded Miami Heat and 4.5 games behind the sixth seeded Brooklyn Nets (D-Loading has loaded).

This game is the start of a stretch where the Detroit Pistons will play four of their next five games at home. They must capitalize on a stretch like this if they plan on playing games deep into April.

Luckily for them, the Pistons will be getting some needed help on the way.

After missing the last six games due to an injury suffered returning from a 19 game absence, Ish Smith is reportedly playing tonight.

This will give the Detroit Pistons bench a huge boost, as they’ve had to rely on multiple players to fill in Smith’s minutes due to Jose Calderon being dust.

What do you guys think? Will Ish Smith’s return help lead the Detroit Pistons to victory?
