In a game the Detroit Pistons came in looking to take care of business; the Pistons made sure that Cleveland had zero optimism to steal the game.
The Pistons out of the gate looking to take control of the game. They were hitting on all cylinders and didn’t look to take their foot off the brake.
The Cavaliers on the other hand were playing shorthanded without big men Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love. The Pistons were obviously going to exploit this as Andre Drummond almost recorded a first quarter double-double with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Reggie Jackson started the game hot. He started the game 6 for 6 from the field and ended the half with 16 points on 6 for 7 shooting.
Even the bench chipped in on the hot shooting for the Pistons. Luke Kennard had 12 points and Ish Smith had 9 points at halftime.
The Pistons took a 71 to 38 lead into halftime. Everything went the Detroit Pistons way.
