The confident Detroit Pistons travel to Ohio to take on The Cleveland Cavaliers on a second game of a back to back Monday night.

The Detroit Pistons travel to Ohio to take on the Cavaliers on a second game of a back to back. They come off an impressive victory over the Toronto Raptors Sunday afternoon.

The Pistons have had Toronto’s number in all three games this season. They swept the Raptors for the first time since 2008. They look to keep the good times rolling with a win against Cleveland.

The Pistons have won their last two games after two bad blowout losses to Brooklyn and Miami. Overall they have won their 6 of the last 8 games since games since they last played Cleveland on March 2nd.

The Cleveland Cavaliers on the other hand have lost 5 of their last 7 games since their last meeting against the Pistons.

The Cavaliers were without Kevin Love the last time they faced the Pistons. Since then Love has averaged 17.8 points per game and 12 rebounds per game on 37.8 percent shooting. He has struggled to shoot the ball and he will probably look to get some rhythm back against Detroit.

It has been Collin Sexton carrying the offensive load for the Cavaliers in their last 7 games. In the 7 games hes averaging 23 points per game on 52.7 percent shooting. He has progressed his game throughout the season and has only gotten better as games have gone by.

The Pistons however could be without their All-Star in Blake Griffin.

This means the Pistons will most likely start Thon Maker in place of Blake. Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson will have to wind-up their 2015-2016 Pick-and-roll offense in order to get the job done.

Keys to the Game

Cool down Collin Sexton. Bruce Brown will have an assignment to keep Sexton under control.

Keep Love off the glass. Kevin Love has been known to have big rebounding nights. Drummond is the best rebounder in the NBA.

The Detroit Pistons bench pushing the lead upwards. Cleveland’s bench isn’t great. The Pistons need to take advantage of this and give the starters some rest after coming off their back-to-back win against Toronto.

Sweep the Cavaliers. Pistons have won all 3 meetings this season against the Cavaliers. They will look to sweep them after sweeping the Raptors.

Cavaliers tanking? The Cavaliers currently have the second best odds at the number one pick. A win would give them the third best odds. They will most likely punt this game.

Pistons have a 1.5 game advantage over the Brooklyn Nets. A win would give them a 2 game advantage. Also the Pistons have a 4 game advantage over the Orlando Magic; who are in the ninth seed.
