The Ed Davis better than Andre Drummond Pistons Twitter hot take.

Andre Drummond started the season playing great for the Pistons. In the first 20 games of the season he averaged 18.6 points per game, 16.4 points per game, 1.9 blocks per game, and 1.4 steals per game on 52.5 percent shooting.

In the next 24 games his stats took a noticeable dip. In the next 24 games he was down to 14.4 points per game, 13.6 rebounds per game, 1.5 blocks per game, and 1.7 steals per game on 47 percent shooting in that stretch.https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/davised01.html

Although he had been playing injured for a majority of that stretch, it was clear Dwane Casey’s system did not mesh well with Andre Drummond. Casey changed his offense towards more of Reggie Jackson and Drummond pick and roll.

The team saw an immediate impact in Drummond’s production and overall the team’s wins.

But a Pistons fan on Twitter did not share the same opinion as many of the other Pistons fans about Andre Drummond. He felt that Andre Drummond is not a good player and other players could fill his position on the team.

That player being specifically Ed Davis. This led to many memes and Twitter users to mock that Pistons fan for his hot take.

A hilarious moment in Pistons Twitter that is continued to be mocked to this day.
