Detroit Pistons lose game three 119-103 to Milwaukee

Blake Griffin showed up
Griffin may not have been able to carry this team to a win, but he showed up and looked to be moving well with his knee brace. Last time we saw Griffin he couldn’t bend his knee, wasn’t able to dunk on a wide open drive, and was being attacked every time on defense.
Griffin came out the gate attacking the rim and making plays for others. Along with his play on offense scoring and creating for others, he also played some pretty fine defense on Giannis Antetokounmpo; forcing a few turnovers early in the game and gave a Pistons an early lead.
The Greek Freak was held to 5-14 shooting and had four turnovers, and this was largely due to the defensive play of Griffin. Griffin poses a problem for The Freak because he’s just as strong, if not stronger, than him. This makes it harder for Giannis to just bully inside, and makes it easier for the Pistons to take advantage of shooting issues.
Griffin ended the game with 27 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals. He shot 10-24 from the field, and 2-7 from the three point line. For someone who was as aggressive as Griffin was attacking the basket, it makes little to no sense how he only ended up with five free throw attempts.
In all, it was great to see Blake back in action.
