Three-Point Shooting

As said above, Brown became the permanent starting shooting guard for the Detroit Pistons because of his defense. Brown only averaged 4.3 points per game on only 4.2 shots attempts a game. He only shot 39 percent from the field and 25.8 percent from long range.

Brown is a freak athlete, who has the extreme leaping ability and is not shy to welcome contact at the rim. He has an extremely quick first step and exhibited the ability to blow by even great defenders due to his first step.

But, in order to help this Pistons team immediately, Brown will need to improve upon his three-point shooting.

When the Pistons went against any team with some brain cells, they were often left to play four on five when Brown was on the court. Brown was a good cutter to TRY and make up for it, but when teams can openly double your best player with zero worries of being punished for it, it’s a bit of a problem.

If Brown can improve his three-point shooting to at least around 33 percent, it would pay major dividends for the Detroit Pistons.
