The Detroit Pistons are going to look at every option this off-season. One of those options includes making a trade. Here are three players the Pistons can trade for.

The NBA Draft order is finally set. Some teams lucked out. Other teams came away disappointed with what number they will be drafting. But for the Detroit Pistons, they are automatically set to draft with the 15th overall pick.

It’s unlikely the Pistons trade up in the draft. Meaning they will either draft a player at 15 or trade the pick to get a rotational player in return, relieve cap space, or upgrade at a certain position.

The Pistons tried to make big trades before the trade deadline. Instead they settled for smaller moves. They traded Reggie Bullock to the Los Angeles Lakers for Svi Mykhailiuk and a second round pick.

Svi never received minutes. And he’s unlikely to receive minutes next season. His rookie-scale contract could be fished around as bait for other teams because it becomes non-guaranteed next season.

They also traded Stanley Johnson to the New Orleans Pelicans in a three-way trade that sent Nikola Mirotic to the Milwaukee Bucks and Thon Maker to Detroit.

These two trades weren’t game-changing deals. The Pistons ended up snagging the 8th and final playoff spot. They matched up against the Milwaukee Bucks and we know the rest of the story. They were embarrassed and swept away quickly by the Bucks.

The Pistons cannot afford to just “run it back.” They are going to have to make trades to upgrade at a position. Here are three players the Pistons can make a trade offer for.
