This is the second article that I have put out that attempts to envision what the Detroit Pistons off-season could look like depending on the focus of the front office.
In the first article, the Detroit Pistons approached the off-season with the general assumption of not making trades, staying under the luxury tax, and trying to fill voids left by the renouncing of all cap holds. If you haven’t read it yet, go ahead and check out part one and part two of that mock off-season.
In this second look at the off-season, we will adjust some assumptions and constraints and leave others as they are. As always, this isn’t meant to be predictive or even what I personally would like to see happen, but going through this process could demonstrate some of the situations Ed Stefanski and company find themselves in as well as the decisions that they need to think through.
