Blake Griffin struck out this summer and he didn’t switch gears like Michael Jordan to play professional baseball.

In his appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast to accept the “Blake of the Year Award”, Griffin mentioned that he went 0-for-3 in recruiting free agents to the Detroit Pistons this offseason. He named one player in Jeff Green.

Griffin said on the podcast that he texted Green in an attempt to sway him to sign with the Pistons. Thirty minutes after he sent the text message, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Green had already made up his decision, agreeing to sign with the Utah Jazz.

This begs the question, who were the other two players that Blake Griffin tried to recruit to Detroit this year? Let’s speculate.
