Detroit Pistons: Breaking down a potential Bradley Beal trade
Adding Bradley Beal would give the Detroit Pistons a legit big three core. But what will it take and is it possible John Wall would come, too?
Bradley Beal would be an instant upgrade for the Detroit Pistons, and there are several avenues for Detroit to pursue in a trade.
The Detroit Pistons can upgrade their roster, but to make a significant move it will take a significant change. Perhaps a significant change is the only way the Pistons can move forward from a borderline playoff team.
Detroit has made the playoffs twice in the last four years, which broke a six-year drought of making the playoffs. But the Pistons fan base is thirsting for more.
The Pistons have lost 14 straight postseason games, including being swept by the Bucks in 2019, Cavs in 2016 and Cleveland again in 2009.
A significant change is necessary and Beal would fit the bill as a two-way wing that could take the Pistons from a playoff team to a contender in the Eastern Conference.

New Washington Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard has made it clear that Beal is a Wizard and they have no intentions of moving him.
"“We want to make sure he hears it from us: Our commitment to him has never wavered … Bradley’s commitment to us has never wavered,” Sheppard said on The Woj Pod."
Washington can offer Beal a three-year, $111 million extension on Friday. Beal has until Oct. 21 to sign the extension. However, he can be offered the supermax next offseason if he makes an All-NBA team this year.
