The Detroit Pistons recently signed former MVP Derrick Rose to assume the backup point guard duties. What are the pros and cons of bringing D-Rose on board?

Entering the 2019 off-season, one of the Detroit Pistons’ main priorities was addressing the team’s lack of point guard depth. Injuries to Reggie Jackson exposed a massive hole in Detroit’s roster, as former Pistons Ish Smith and Jose Calderon failed to adequately fill the role in his absence.

Derrick Rose, who experienced a resurgence last season, was rumored to be a top choice for Detroit, and early into free agency ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news that Rose and the Pistons had agreed to a deal.

Along with Rose, Detroit signed Tim Frazier to a 1 year, $2 million deal, bolstering the team’s point guard depth for the upcoming season.

What are the pros and cons of signing Derrick Rose? Let’s discuss.
