Detroit Pistons rookie, Sekou Doumbouya, is the biggest mystery on the roster. So, let’s take a deep dive on what areas of his game he can improve and set some realistic expectations.

Born in Guinea, his family soon moved to France, where he started playing basketball at age 12. Three years later he signs his first professional contract and six years after he picked up a basketball for the first time, he was good enough to get picked at no15 of the NBA draft.

Doumbouya was the youngest player in this year’s draft. Most observers are intrigued by the raw potential of the Pistons rookie while others are not so optimistic. Some think he’ll be the next Giannis Antetokounmpo or Pascal Siakam while others think Darko Milicic and Mario Hezonja.
