9.  Reggie Jackson’s March exclamation point

March 30th, 2019

Final Score: Detroit 99, Portland 90

Reggie Jackson, like Brown, has deceptive athletic ability. He can pull off several of these nasty finishes from time to time, during his career Jackson has made many highlights plays, showing off his fancy dribbling and passing or finishing among the trees like this play.

Unfortunately, the injury bug has hit Jackson several time in his career, but this year he played all 82 games, and got some solid playoff action against the Bucks in the first round of this years playoffs.

This is what we want as Pistons fans from Reggie, the leader that has no problem taking matters into his own hands. Jackson corrals a rebound, uses a nice behind-the-back move to beat the first defender, and a ball fake that leads to the nasty throw down.

This play was so impressive that Pistons Legend Bill Laimbeer, who was on the commentators table at the time was left utterly speechless after that highlight jam.

The Pistons eventually pull out the win in this game and Reggie was the hero of the day. Beating a tough western conference opponent in the Portland Trailblazers with two superstars in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum was no small feat, but with Jackson and Drummonds monster games, they were able to pull it out.

Reggie finished this game with a stat line of 28 points, five rebounds and five assists. Drummond with a just as impressive stat line of 22 points, 19 rebounds, four steals, and 3 blocks led the way to the win in this one.
