8. Blake rocks Cleveland

October 25, 2018

Final Score: Detroit 110, Cleveland 103

It is no secret that Griffin has tremendous leaping ability, but with changing his game as he gets older, he’s become more versatile, which is shown in this highlight.

A lot of Pistons fans were unsure as to how Griffin would mesh with the team on offense and defense, but he sure has shown us now. Being our leader on both ends, on and off the court.

His transformation as a player has been nothing short of incredible since putting on a Detroit Pistons jersey. From the step-back three’s, highlight dunks, the 50-point game against Philly, and helping to lead the team to an eighth seed in the east. Along with career-high shooting numbers and an All-NBA Third Team honor Griffin’s season was one for the Pistons history books.

In this play, Blake has the defense lost with the fancy spin move to split the defense which leads to the stuff at the rim. Pistons fans get dizzy enough this season watching the tremendous foot work and skill set of the All-Star forward in the post, but this time it was taken to the perimeter and that was put on display against the Cavaliers defense in this game.

Griffin finished the game with a monster stat line of 26 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 three pointers. Which in turn, helped push the Pistons to a 4-0 start in the season.
