6. Blake beats the MVP
December 17th, 2018
Final Score: Bucks 107, Pistons 104
Around the league there are players that other guys just know not to jump with, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeAndre Jordan, the list goes on, and you do not jump with those guys unless you want to be on someones highlight reel for the rest of the season.
Breaking down No. 6 on our list here, we see Luke Kennard snags a timely rebound and immediately outlets a pass to Griffin, who goes coast-to-coast and finishes with pure power at the rim over Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez of the Bucks.
Antetokounmpo is a talented shot blocker, and one of the players you do not want to jump with in the NBA, but Blake took the challenge head on knowing his team was down, and needed a momentum boosting play in this game.
Despite many valiant efforts, the Bucks had Detroit’s number this year, sweeping the Pistons in the first round of the playoffs this past season. The MVP and his team seemed to play liked a well-oiled machine against Detroit every time they played.
Griffin’s efforts in this game saw him getting a triple-double in this game, with a stat line of 19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, but he struggled shooting from the field going 4-of-12 on field goal attempts and 2-7 from behind the arc. Theleading scorer in that game was Reggie Bullock with 22 points.
