Final Score: Pistons 133, Sixers 132

This was a fun game to watch, arguably the best game of the Detroit Pistons season, and one I attended. Griffin’s overtime heroics helped lead us to a huge victory over the stacked Sixers early in the year.

On this play coming in at No. 3, Griffin goes coast-to-coast for a dynamite stuff over the 7-foot shot blocker and defensive menace Joel Embiid. This is what fans around the league love about Griffin, his fearlessness and will to finish strong around the rim.

This particular game was a thriller, Griffin scored a career-high 50 points, and was scoring from everywhere, and Philly had no answer for him. Along with the 50 points, he capped that off with a game sealing and-1 finish to win the game by one point in OT, sending the Sixers and there fans heads hanging low with a bitter taste in there mouths, asking “How did Blake Griffin do that?”.

Griffin finished this game with a ridiculous stat line of 50 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and one game-winner Pistons fans will never forget. This game is sure to be one of many we see from Blake as a Piston in the future.

He eventually finished the season 10th All-Time for the Detroit Pistons on the single season scoring list with 1,841 points, and ninth behind the late great Bob Lanier in scoring average for a single season with 24.55 points per game.

With performances like these and highlight plays, Griffin is on the right track to being a Pistons great!
