The NBA officially released the schedule for the 2019-20 season on Monday, and there is a ton of optimism for Detroit Pistons fans entering the year. Although they weren’t able to make any splashy moves, the team upgraded many of their rotation pieces and will need to rely on some player development to take the next step.

Derrick Rose and Markieff Morris are instant upgrades on the second unit. Acquiring Tony Snell was an upgrade to start on the wing. Signing Tim Frazier, Michael Beasley and Christian Wood gives the Pistons some depth and an opportunity to build competition in training camp.

Detroit’s schedule is jam-packed with tough stretches that will make for exciting and agonizing stretches. Depth and health will be key if the Pistons are going to improve on a 41-41 season that netted the eighth seed last season.

Little Caesars Arena will host 40 home games for the Pistons this season, and there are opportunities for fans to see plenty of superstars when they make their trip to Detroit. There are some great storylines, and continued rivalries that will make for an incredible atmosphere.
