Detroit Pistons: Analyzing Hooper’s schedule release skit games
Saturday March 7, Utah
The Utah Jazz had one of the best free agencies this offseason going from a middle-of-the-pack playoff team to a contender. Utah lost some important players, but the Jazz upgraded each of those positions.
Last season’s starting point guard, Ricky Rubio agreed to a three-year ,$51 million-dollar deal with the Phoenix Suns after the Jazz made a blockbuster trade.

Preying on Memphis’ lottery luck into winning the Ja Morant sweepstakes by getting the second pick, Memphis finally parted ways with their franchise point guard Mike Conley. Mike Conley was sent to Utah for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, and the 23rdOverall Pick which after a trade became Gonzaga forward Brandon Clarke.
Another roster change was the Jazz trading away starting power forward Derrick Favors for 2021 and 2023 second round picks from New Orleans. Yet again, the Jazz upgraded Favors’ poor shooting by adding the lethal shooter Bojan Bogdanovic. Bogdanovic thrived in Victor Oladipo’s absence and led the Pacers to the fifth seed scoring 18 points per game and shooting an outrageous 43 percent from three.
Utah’s shrewd business continued signing bargains in center Ed Davis, forward Jeff Green, and guard Emmanuel Mudiay, adding to the new Jazz rookies. Those rookies were forward Jarrell Brantley (pick 50), guard Justin Wright-Foreman (pick 53), and guard Miye Oni (pick 58).
The Jazz have now become a powerhouse in the absolutely loaded Western Conference but expect the Jazz to have a home playoff series at least in the first round if not the first two rounds. The Jazz’s lineup now looking to be Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Bogdanovic, and Gobert. This game will be a must watch for me as the Jazz are a team that can suffocate your offense and keep you under 90 points like the early 2000’s and also run and gun like the Warriors, the Jazz will be a great team this year.
