Detroit Pistons: Analyzing Hooper’s schedule release skit games
Friday November 29 and Monday February 10, Charlotte
Charlotte is in a tough spot. People are talking about how bad of an offseason the New York Knicks had but Charlotte’s was one thousand times worse.
Being in one of the worst cap situations in the league, the Hornets decided to let All-Star and franchise player Kemba Walker walk to sign Terry Rozier? Wait, what?
If that’s not bad enough, the Hornets are paying Scary Terry more than they ever payed Kemba. The second-best player on the Charlotte roster was Jeremy Lamb and he decided to go to Indiana. Wisconsin legend Frank Kaminsky opted to go to the desert and sign with the Suns.
The Hornets only good day this offseason was draft day where they picked PJ Washington (12th pick), Cody Martin (36th pick), and Jalen McDaniels (52nd pick).
The only scary thing this season that will happen for Rozier will be how terrible the Hornets will be. If you want to see the Pistons at their best, then get down for the LCA these two games as the Pistons should smoke these Hornets in both games.
What made the Hornets an alright team was having a good group of role players around their star (Walker). Now that team that went 39-43 lost the star it was built around and then lost two of the other four starters, which spells disaster for the Hornets. Changing the logo from Buzz the Hornet to the crying Jordan meme might just be in order, good luck Charlotte.
