Detroit Pistons: Analyzing Hooper’s schedule release skit games
Thursday December 12, Mavericks (Mexico City)
The Mavericks won the 2018 trade by drafting an absolute stud in Luka Doncic. He won the rookie of the year last season and was gifted a co-star in Kristaps Porzingis. The top foreign duo is now in Dallas as Doncic and Porzingis look to win a title in the near future.
Porzingis along with guards Tim Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee were sent to Dallas for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan and two future first round picks from Dallas. Dallas drafted Isaiah Roby at pick 45, and signed Delon Wright, Boban Marjanovic and Seth Curry. They also re-signed Dorian Finney-Smith and Maxi Kleber, and only lost Trey Burke to the Sixers and legend Dirk Nowitzki to retirement.
This game is a must watch to see this dynamic duo in action and it’s in Mexico City. While I’ve never seen a Pistons game outside of the United States, I could only imagine how great it would be to use some of the Spanish I’ve learned in school to go to a Pistons game. However, Mexico City has had some crime problems, but this would be the time to go to Mexico as the security presence and number of tourists should help make your time south of the border a good one.
Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond battling it out against Porzingis and Doncic would be an excellent match up but with the recent photos showing Porzingis’ new muscular frame, he could be able to transition from power forward to the center position giving Drummond a good game.
If Porzingis’ Anterior Cruciate Ligament holds him back and he won’t play in the game, then this won’t be nearly as enticing, and as Mark Cuban would say on Shark Tank, “for that reason I’m out.”
