Friday March 20, Warriors

While the Warriors definitely got worse, no one could have expected them to have as good of an offseason as they managed to have. The Warriors dynasty could still be on but losing Kevin Durant, Iguodala, DeMarcus Cousins, Shaun Livingston, Jordan Bell, Damian Jones, Quinn Cook, Treveon Graham, and Shabazz Napier, is going to really hurt.

The additions of Willie Cauley-Stein, Glenn Robinson III, Omari Spellman, Alec Burks, drafting Jordan Poole (28th pick), Alen Smailagic (39th pick), Eric Paschall (41st pick), and re-signing Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney will keep the Warriors in the playoffs.

The biggest addition was getting All-Star D’Angelo Russell, in return for Durant. The Warriors will still be in the playoff picture as long as one of the Splash Brothers have a pulse.

This offseason will make the Warriors play more similarly to their early dynasty/pre-Durant days where every game was must watch. The Warriors were incredible to watch in their 73-9 hay day, and this year’s rendition of the Warriors will be fun to watch again.

With a starting line-up of Stephen Curry, Russell, Alphonzo McKinnie, Draymond Green, and Cauley-Stein will be a playoff team and a game you must watch. My dad is a huge Curry fan and watches every single time the Warriors come to the Motor City, and he’s more excited than ever to see these Warriors where MVP Curry will probably come back and dominate the league again.
