Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is coming off a career season. Just where does he line up on the Mount Rushmore of NBA players named Andre?

The Detroit Pistons have positioned themselves to take a run at the Eastern Conference. That path will be assisted by Andre Drummond. But that begs one very important question: Is Andre Drummond the best Andre to step onto the basketball court? Where does he rank in the NBA Mount Rushmore of Andre’s?

Now, I’m sure you’ve had an internal battle about who the better Chris is. Is it Chris Evans? Maybe Chris Pratt? Does Chris Pine sneak into your No. 1 Chris spot? I wouldn’t be shocked if the Aussie Chris Hemsworth took the crown. It’s tricky when you’re placing Captain America up against Thor up against Burt Macklin, FBI., and Captain Kirk.

The name game in the NBA is just as competitive. As The Ringer’s Shea Serrano wrote about previously, you can build teams around first-name players, in which Serrano builds a super team around Luke Ridnour, Luke Walton, Luke Babbitt, Luke Harangody, and Luke Zeller (it’s really a great article that you should read).

light. Trending. Blake Griffin highlights the disparity in market-sized attitudes

Serrano’s piece made me wonder if the Detroit Pistons’ own Andre is the best Andre to play the sport of basketball? Now, in order to do this Mount Rushmore piece. We need to set the rankings.

The best Andre will be our George Washington. Our second best Andre will be our Abraham Lincoln. Our third best Andre will be Thomas Jefferson. Our fourth and final best Andre will be none other than Theodore Roosevelt. I guess this also depends on how you rank those four presidents. It’s all subjective. Everything is subjective.

Let’s begin.
