Andre Iguodala

Andre Iguodala, the George Washington of Andre’s. It shouldn’t be a surprise to see Iggy as the top rank of our Mount Rushmore. The man has trophies, medals, and rings.

A one-time All-Star participant in 2012, he was also runner-up in the 2006 Dunk Contest. Drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers, Iguodala shined during his eight-year stint with the team. He failed to average double digits just once during his 76ers tenure, which happened to be his rookie season. However, he was named to the All-Rookie First-Team.

It wasn’t until a brief pitstop with the Denver Nuggets and then getting traded to the Golden State Warriors did Iguodala change his game around. A nearly 15 points per game player during the first nine seasons of his career, Iguodala would only surpass an eight-point average once during his six seasons with the Warriors.

With the Warriors, Iguodala won his second All-NBA Defense honor. He was also one of the key components of the team’s historic 73-win season and journey to five straight NBA Finals. Those Finals appearance resulted in three championships and one Finals MVP for Iggy. On top of that, he helped Team USA bring home the gold in 2012. He’s on the receiving end of Mike Breen’s famous “Blocked by James” call in the 2016 NBA Finals.

When it comes to who should be the central Andre on Andres of Mount Rushmore, we really don’t have to look much further than Iguodala. His accomplishments, both individual and with a team, speak for themselves.

And there you have it. Iguodala, Drummond, Kirilenko, Miller. Your Mount Rushmore of Andres. Hopefully, this was a fun read. Let me know if you can think of any other Mount Rushmores? Doesn’t have to be NBA related. Discussion is fun.
