Top 20 former Michigan State Spartans to play in the NBA
By Riley Nisbet
20. Charlie Bell
Charlie Bell is not the most impressive player, but he might be the best-of-the rest.
After playing only 14 games in his first three seasons, Bell played for three seasons in Europe before returning to the NBA to play for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Bell would not amount to much more than a role player in his career. His only season above 10 points-per-game (13.5) came in his second year with the Bucks, but that was supported by only three assists per game and just under three rebounds.
While these are not terrible numbers for a role-player, that same season Bell started in 64 games (he only started 67 games combined in the rest of his career) and contributed considerable minutes at 34.7 per game.
However, Bell will always be remembered for his role on the Spartan’s 2000 National Championship run.
