After four seasons at Michigan State, Eric Snow was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks 43rd overall in the 1995 NBA Draft, before being immediately traded to the Seattle Supersonics.

With a less-than-impressive start to his career, Snow only played two-and-a-half seasons in Seattle before being traded to Philadelphia, where he would spend most of his career.

In his second season in Philadelphia, Snow stepped into a starting role, where he would remain throughout his time with the 76ers. More playing time allowed Snow to improve his points per game from 3 points per game averaged across his first three seasons, to 8.6.

Snow’s career numbers are unimpressive, and his peak numbers aren’t eye-catching either. He only averaged more than 10 points per game three times in his career and more than seven assists twice.

However, these numbers need contextualization. As a fellow guard, mostly played in the shadow of Allen Iverson, who was responsible for a bulk of the team’s offense.

Snow’s contribution helped push the 76ers to first in the Eastern Conference in 2000-01 and an NBA Finals appearance that same year.

For the 2002-03 season, Snow was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.
