Breaking down potential Detroit Pistons rotations for 2019-20
The Pistons need to score late in a game–What lineup do they turn to?
If the Detroit Pistons find themselves down a basket or two in a late game situation, what players will Casey want on the floor? Keep in mind these naturally have to be certified bucket getters, of which the Pistons have many.
PG: Reggie Jackson
SG: Luke Kennard
SF: Blake Griffin
PF: Christian Wood
C: Andre Drummond
Let’s address the most glaringly obvious issue people may have here; Christian Wood.

However, keep in mind that if he’s on the floor several things are being done. One; overwhelming the defense with height, as Jackson is 6-foot-3, but everyone else on the floor is 6-foot-5 or taller. Two, it provides necessary spacing. This is something that the Detroit Pistons severely lacked a season ago, even after the arrival of Maker.
This lineup allows Casey to run anything in his playbook. You can run pick-and-rolls with Griffin, Wood, and Drummond. You can have any of them set back screens or ball screens to free up the four of them that are able to hit perimeter shots.
The question that would likely arise of whether or not Rose should be getting the nod here is a valid one. However that would be entirely contingent on how he preforms and progresses throughout the season, but it’s something that most wouldn’t be opposed to.
Casey has more talent to work with this season than he did last for the Detroit Pistons, and we’re all waiting to see how he can utilize it.
