Pistons fringe players and unknowns

Langston Galloway: 72 Overall

Despite having some of the best real-life shoes in the league, Langston Galloway‘s 2K20 ranking did not reflect any style points.

He begins the 2K20 season as a 72 overall.

Galloway is on his way out of Detroit, whether it be an in-season trade or the end of his contract in 2020.

He will likely see less time in favor of Kennard and Snell going forward, likely locking this rating in place for much of his final season with the Pistons.

Thon Maker: 72 Overall

Returning third-year player Thon Maker has seen his role on the Pistons come into question with the addition of several new big men.

Maker comes into the NBA 2K20 season with a 72 overall rating.

Maker came into the league with the Milwaukee Buck with tremendous upside. The now-22-year-old big man has rare size and length and has a potentially decent jump shot.

He played about 19 minutes per game in 29 games with Detroit. Maker averaged career-highs with 5.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

His diverse skillset likely bumped his rating up to a 72 overall, but his upcoming season could prove costly if he doesn’t see the same amount of action.

Tim Frazier: 72 Overall

The back-half of the Pistons’ bench is lumped together in the rotation – and the team’s NBA 2K20 ratings.

Newbie Tim Frazier received a 72 overall rating.

Frazier is not expected to make a splash in the team’s rotation this season. The addition of Derrick Rose and the versatility of Bruce Brown is likely to keep Frazier out of the lineup on most nights.

Frazier can be a productive guard that can score in the real game from almost anywhere on the court. However, lack of playing time and consistent competition will likely keep his rating where it is as the season progresses.

Unlikely contributors and Unknowns

Last season’s young additions Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and Khyri Thomas are unlikely to see much playing time outside of the event of an injury for the Pistons.

More from PistonPowered

Mykhailuk comes with a 2K20 rating of 70. Thomas is rated a 69 overall. Both carry appropriate ratings after unimpressive, yet limited appearances since coming to Detroit last season.

Three potential Pistons have yet to be rated before the game officially drops September 6.

Veteran player Michael Beasley, and rookies Jordan Bone and Deividas Sirvydis are fringe players entering training camp.

All three may not find a role in NBA 2K20 unless they show significant potential in training camp.

Beasley has bounced around several teams during his underwhelming 11-year career. His previous ratings in the game fluctuated around 76 overall.

However, if he or the two rookies fail to make the team, they will have to wait on their ratings until they find their ways to a roster.
